Ziamond, the jewelry artists in the world of blingery, have blinged out yet another gadget that is normally not associated with shimmer and shine. The Casio G-Shock watches are more popular than ever thanks to celebrity endorsements, although, for 25 years, Casio G-Shock digital watches have been the ultimate tough timepieces.
You have seen the likes of Pharrell, Kanye West, Bow Wow, Lil Wayne, Nelly, 50 Cent and Jay-Z wearing unique tricked out, blinged out, iced out G-Shocks by the likes of Jacob the jeweler. However, those Diamond G-Shock watches range in prices from $25,000 to almost $100,000. Well, the Diamond Casio G-Shock has now met the Ziamond Z-Shock accessory.
Due to repeated requests form Ziamond's celebrity clients that include high profile musicians, super star athletes, and celebs from all realms, Ziamond has delivered. Z-Shock modifies Casio G-Shock watches with precious metal cases (silver, gold, and platinum) that are studded with diamonds, other precious gems, or cubic zirconium (depending on how much you want to spend, of course).
You'll notice for the most part that the watches are still the basic utilitarian Casio G-Shock models we are all familiar with. However, the plastic cases are removed and replaced with precious gem-studded metals. The large backlit buttons, pushers, and resin straps are all "stock." But, unlike the Jacob the jeweler-blinged G-Shocks, these watches epitomize tackiness, with no sense of luxury or style at all. That's maybe because the rather bulky sparkly bezel doesn't really go with the plastic and rubber of the rugged watch and doesn't exactly conceal the materials either.
The pleasure of owning your own Z-Shock customized Casio will run you about $2,800 and up. Opt for gold or platinum and real diamonds, and your bargain yard duty watch easily pushes $10,000 and beyond. Either this watch is gold making Casio look bad, or Casio making gold look bad.
