If you're the kinda guy or gal that likes to come home after a hard day's work and just watch a nice movie but don't want to spend your money on all sorts of expensive apertures and would rather just use your computer for that, you're probably in search for something
small and cute to acquire but cannot really decide what to take. ZOTAC released something that might be just what you're looking for: the ZOTAC MAG series.
The MAG is basically a
set-top computer with a cool design, taking advantage of the NVIDIA ION graphics processor. Curious what makes it so special? Well, not much, I'll tell you that. It just excels at doing what it’s meant to and nothing more. You get a choice between the Intel Atom 300 dual core and Atom 230 single core processors, 2GB of DDR2 RAM and a hard drive that is 160GB in size, running at 5,400 rotations per minute.
“As users start equipping every room in their house with computers for a true networked digital home experience, space and power conservation becomes an issue, especially for larger houses,” said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International. “With the ZOTAC MAG series, we’re providing users with a system suitable anywhere inside a house. The compact size, performance and energy efficiency makes the ZOTAC MAG perfect for all computing uses.”
Other options include an HDMI port, 802.11n integrated wireless connectivity, 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet and a four-in-one card reader. As far as the operating system goes, you will be opting for either Windows Vista or 7. There's no word regarding its pricing at the moment nor anything related to its release date.
