iLuv, a brand of jWIN Electronics Corp., is dedicated to developing IT peripheral products, unique audio video products and accessories for portable media players and other personal entertainment devices.
The company has developed its own technology features like jAura Soundcell Technology to maximize the musical enjoyment of iPod recordings, patented BluePin technology that acts as a stereo Bluetooth transmitter and receiver and it has been recognized with top industry awards for its unique vision and creative products.
Yesterday, iLuv introduced, to the delight of those owning Apple’s handheld, two in-ear headphone sets. Two different classes, iEP515 and iEP315, that are basically upgrades for the
iPhone 3GS' bulky headset. They sport an in-line remote and microphone. Noise reduction is only featured passively through ear bud design.
Not only supported by the iPhone generation, the controls also work with the third-gen iPod shuffle, second-gen iPod classic and fourth-gen iPod nano and with the
iPod touch. No audio quality side-by-side comparison was detailed between the higher class iEP515 and the basic iEP315. As for design, as you can see, the iEP515 has a more organic one with curves rather than edges that will fit your ears without being discomforting. Also, the translucency of the iEP515 puts them apart from the less nicer iEP315.
“Our new Premium precision crafted earphones are perfect for iPhone 3GS owners looking to upgrade their
headphones” said Howard Kim for iLuv. “We are proud to add a microphone remote function to our premium sound designed earphone audio solutions.”
iLuv stated that both the iEP315 and the iEP515 should be available by August for $30.00 and $60 a pair, respectively. Also worth mentioning is the fact that iLuv has an in-development adapter that will add the remote and mic to almost all portable headphones, called the iEA15. Shipping date and price unknown.
