The iPad has made
all kinds of news ever since its release and now it has even been involved in brutal thefts. In this case, the buyer of an
Apple iPad gadget lost part of a finger because the desperate thief insisted on snatching the bag containing the iPad, although it was tied around the victim's fingers. This tragic incident happened in Denver at the Cherry Creek Mall, after Bill Jordan, the victim, had purchased an iPad upon a colleague’s request, according to
CBS4 Denver.
"I had been asked by one of my colleagues in Canada to pick up an iPad for someone who is being promoted," Bill Jordan said.
Unfortunately for the generous Bill Jordan, who was only kind enough to get an
iPad for somebody else, his injury is permanent, leaving him with a piece of his pinky finger completely torn off. The mall’s security cameras have managed to get a picture of the African-American thug that mugged the unsuspecting Bill Jordan while he was simply doing a co-worker a favor.
Now, was the thief really that much into the iPad phenomenon so that he ripped a part of another man's finger for it, or was he just looking to make a profit? And besides, how narrow-minded can one be to commit a felony at the exit point of a mall, I thought as a thief, one should know about the benefits of the surveillance cameras, right?
The Denver Police have already made public the footage of the theft and a close-up camera snap of the thief, and are currently investigating this case in order to catch the guy. You can see the footage from the surveillance cameras at the Cherry Creek Mall in Denver over at
