As we've mentioned in previous articles on the subject of USB flash drives, one of the few elements that really differentiate one product from another (thus, pushing up its sales figures) nowadays is its design. If a flash drive's design makes heads turn, then you've got a winner, otherwise, it's back to the drawing board, because the sales will be more or less disappointing.
However, that's surely not the case with the iPhone Flash Drive (or the Phone Driver, in original), a device whose design has been clearly inspired by the famous smartphone from Apple, but whose level of cuteness (clearly visible from the photos and relatively hard to describe in words) is undeniable.
Presented by Taiwanese company FruitShop (interesting relation to Apple, although there's no relation between them whatsoever), this tiny iPhone features a rubber casing, which thoroughly protects the flash module stored within against shocks and static. However, the casing looks just like a smiling, happy iPhone, dying to give users a kiss, so it's sure to impress (especially the female audience, if you ask me).
Plus, the manufacturer points out the fact that, since the flash drive is manufactured of rubber, it can easily be washed should it get dirty. Of course, you should remove the flash drive unit first, but that's a whole different thing.
Sadly, FruitShop doesn't provide any significant information regarding the storage space offered by the iPhone Flash Drive. However, they do mention that the device supports USB2.0 and USB1.1, and also works with Windows 98/98SE, Me/2000/XP, VISTA. The drive's dimensions (namely 21x42x11 mm) and weight (around 10.4 grams) have also been revealed.
The price point is also unknown, but given just how cute this thing is, it's sure to get imported in western countries soon enough, hopefully for a decent-enough sum.
