Well, good news, people, the iTablet is here, but fact is - not from Apple. You wouldn't think I would start the article like that if it were related to Apple, now, would you? It looks like UK-based company X2 has named its latest launch, the Windows 7 tablet, exactly like the rumored Apple product that keeps users and fans waiting.

I'm so enjoying this, as it is already the second time that Apple gets bashed. I would so get a belly ache, for sure, if Apple actually didn't register the name iTablet, as the company won't be able to sue X2 for copyright, and also would have to come up with some other pompous name for its tablet, if Apple is going to take that out eventually.

Getting to the X2 iTablet - this, my friends, sounds more than decent, and by far better than the iPad, even though it doesn't compete with it, I think. As I have mentioned above, it operates on Windows 7 (probably Home Premium) and is powered by an Intel processor running at 1.6GHz. Even better, the iTablet is available in two size choices, namely 10.2 and 12.1 inches, both 35mm in thickness, that would sound exaggeratedly thick, if not knowing the iTablet packs 250GB of internal storage, a 3G chip and Bluetooth, but still very thick compared to the 13.4mm of the iPad.

That being said, the iTablet is actually a complete (almost) portable computer that sports three USB ports, one HDMI-out, aside from the 1.3-megapixel webcam, so the comparison between this and the iPad is quite useless, because the latter is just an oversized iPod. Pricing for the iTablet was not mentioned, but the company will probably try to keep it below the price point of the iPad, just to bash Apple.
